~ One more studio chunk down and one to go. My interest level is waining and I am in need of a new ______ . I am pretty much over the universe (in the stellar sense, not the all inclusive sense).
~ Bugs? Maps? Apples? Aquarium fish? Maybe it is bad to fixate, but it helps me find inspiration for my workness.
~ The bottom pic is my Thinking of You studio project. Scale is palm sized.

‘ello world!
~ My favorite holiday is here again, and I am not enjoying it nearly as much as I would like to be. It just isn’t the same if your not in Savannah..
~ I have been designing my little butt off this week, and Spring Break cannot come soon enough.
~ Random silly projects:

~ Project Update:
one company is developing products in the same vein of objectified information
>> their website. They are an off shoot of the MIT Media Lab. They actually developed the wireless system off of which all of their products operate. Their device information that they offer is fairly limited news, weather, stocks, etc. It is also still primarily visual information.
~ these are a few visual attempts to figure out/explain where/how my product will interact with people:
This is a visual exploration of touch. textures, colors, and their impressions on touch-ability and tactile interaction

~ Hello! Mum has been the word on my new project, but that because I have been trying to nail it down a bit prior to telling you (plus I have been a busy bee, but that is sort of a given these days).
~ This new project is being run by Florian Vollmer of Info Retail. It is being run pretty much like an independent study (- – which feels amazing by the way).
~ The Brief. Product Ecosystems. Contextually aware objects. Products that are designed with an advanced consideration of how they will exist/thrive within a ubiquitously digital society. Cool right?
~ My idea inspired by robots, stars, and a physical separation from your favorite people. Distilling interaction from a hybrid of auditory, visual, and tactile(ity?) that is common with current technology, into individual techniques of input and output. This simplifies the information that can be transferred, but also changes the level of knowledge and thought required to use it.
~ Social link between two people. Techniques for solving the problem: remnants, motion, editable physicality, reactive object pairs…
~ Ok thats enough of that for now. Capturing a mood. Listening to Jack Johnson always evokes exactly the same mood in/to me. He is one of the few current artists that listening to does not evoke the visual of him sitting in a isolated recording studio. Why for? Transcending situations. Trick.
by the way – happy march!

~ ok I am aware of the fact that I have defaulted to imagery instead of verbage. I have been having a mild crisis of language and ideas and expressing the latter with the former. Do ever feel like you don’t speak the right language? Like you missed some crucial day in kindergarten when you were supposed to learn how to tell people things that were in your head and not sound retarded…
~working on thinking in a way that other people can understand. very necessary for my continued existence as a designer.
~thanks for trying…
~ I thought the drawing fit b/c it can be easily interpreted/misinterpreted to be a few different things…

~ I don’t know if the title of this post makes sense. Did you interpret it as a change in my lifestyle or that I hadn’t told you anything in a while? Maybe it makes sense either way but I am just not sure which way I meant it. So it is up to you to imbue meaning into this here text. Which by now there is probably too much of so I might have lost ya..
~ Grills! Not the ones for your mouth (silly momma). I have been obsessing over grills for the past week. Well that not really true I have been obsessed with trying to obsess. I am slowly finding the interest necessary to design, not one, not two, but three! haha Gary Oldman, I heart that ~creepy~ dude. Anyways, I need to crank out three grill designs and renderings by Monday. A finished tongue cleaner would be nice too…
~ Interesting web thing about design school here.
~ Random note. I have really been obsessing about the stars(the universe, and everything).. Best way to feel awesomely insignificant (by best I mean best, not sarcastic, like satisfyingly so) I borrowed this picture, but it is too awesome to not share…

~ I am in the Visiting Critics studio (Even though I am way more silly than serious).
~ We just started a project on tongue cleaners (Adam this is right up your current alley if you have any advice
), and also one on idea farming. So far I like the way Big Bang works.
Jo -_- Most awesome present ever.
